```htmlJob Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – New York Start Date: September 29, 2026
Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 13-week contract. Every other weekend and every other holiday required. Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5.
Progressive Care Unit serving adults and geriatric patients with pulmonary conditions, ENT surgical cases, and general stepdown-level care
EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility
Work at a 528-bed Magnet-recognized acute care teaching facility with Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center certification
comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
Unit census of approximately 22 patients across 24 beds with 16 hours of orientation provided
Flexible call-off policy allowing up to three shifts during the contract period without penalty
Active New York Single State RN license required (New York is not a Compact state; Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required; travel nursing experience strongly preferred
EPIC charting experience required
Experience with telemetry and stepdown-level care (PCU/DOU/IMC) essential
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, IV therapy, and isolation precautions
Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility location
Maximum 10 days of requested time off during contract period
