Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join a healthcare team. This role requires strong technical expertise in venipuncture, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage challenging draws independently. The Phlebotomist will play a critical role in patient care by ensuring accurate specimen collection and maintaining a professional, compassionate approach.

Key Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with precision and care.

Handle difficult draws (“hard sticks”) confidently and escalate issues when necessary.

Provide excellent customer service, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed.

Maintain accurate records and labeling of specimens.

Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures.

Collaborate with healthcare staff to support patient care and laboratory operations.

Adapt to changing schedules and patient needs with flexibility.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certification in phlebotomy (CPT or equivalent).

Proven phlebotomy skills, including independent specimen collection.

Strong customer service and communication abilities.

Ability to manage escalations professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hospital or clinical laboratory settings.

Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Certifications

Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
