Title: Automation Engineer

Schedule: Onsite when not at client site. Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5pm and then Friday 7:30am-12:30pm - Fridays they work from home

Bonus: 2% of salary - Varies based on Exp, individual and company performance.

This is a great fit for someone who wants meaningful, technical project work with excellent work-life balance (including half-day Fridays and hybrid flexibility once trained). Design and implement full-service control systems for municipal water/wastewater facilities

Lead PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming and testing in-house and in the field

Support control panel fabrication and instrumentation configuration

Perform on-site startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning for local municipal clients

Collaborate with clients, contractors, and engineering teams to deliver tailored automation solutions

Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (after fully trained) to provide emergency technical support

Travel locally to client sites (within approximately 1 hour of home)

5+ years of experience in automation/controls engineering, including design, programming, and fieldwork

• Proficiency in Allen-Bradley Logix platform PLCs and PanelView HMI programming
• A relevant Engineering or Technology degree from an ABET-accredited program
• Strong digital literacy and network troubleshooting skills
• Advanced computer/networking skills
• Prior experience with municipal or utility sector projects
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for reimbursable local travel
