Full Time Cook - Hospital

COOK – FULL-TIME Michiana Behavioral Health (a UHS facility):

Michiana Behavioral Health offers respectful, dignified care to adults, children and teens experiencing emotional crisis and mental distress. We’re available 24/7 to provide a confidential, no-cost mental health assessment for you or your loved one.

The Cook is responsible for:

Preparation of meals for patients, facility staff and guests.

Service of meals for patients, facility staff and guests.

Ensuring the kitchen remains clean at all time.

Assisting in the delivery of patient unit supplies as needed.

Comply with established guidelines for sanitation and safety.

Utilize portion control guidelines when preparing and serving food.

Follow cleaning assignments of the dining room and kitchen area daily.

Interact well with patients in the serving line providing good customer service and offer assistance when needed.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience in quantity cooking and a basic knowledge of modified diets and experience in utilizing institutional kitchen equipment and utensils.
