Sales AssociateThe primary responsibilities of the Sales Associate are to provide exceptional customer service to company standards and to be the key personnel in achieving company sales goals. Primary and secondary responsibilities are as follows.Act as a cashier for all special orders and items that require delivery or assemblyAnswer and take phone calls regarding stock availability, product receipts, customer orders, and other calls as neededCashier as neededCollaborates with other employees to work toward team and company goalsDemonstrates proficient functionality and usage of applicable Eagle applications and other store technology platformsEnsure an adequate understanding of all products in the store and or demonstrate an ability to learnExecute Opening and Closing duties to company standardFulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfactionMaintains a professional appearance while at work at all timesOther duties assigned by the assistant manager as necessaryPerform daily tasks to complete as assigned by supervisorsPerforms pre-paid special orders for all customers as neededPerforms S.A.L.E.S process with each customerPerforms store services as neededPrimarily responsible for taking phone orders and collecting paymentProfessionally answer phone calls and use radios to communicate with appropriate associatesResponsibility for the store cleanlinessResponsible for achieving sales goals per the budget of their assigned storeResponsible for completing continuing education certification courses applicable to their planResponsible for farming and developing B2B relationships for all business customersResponsible for knowing of and informing all customers of current promotions and eventsResponsible for maintaining a customer request log via Excel spreadsheet entryResponsible for upholding LP measuresResponsible for using all inventory platforms to identify and locate productStock product from all receipts to standardUtilize standardized safety measure when performing any and all job dutiesWater plants and perform other Gardening duties as neededWelcome all customers in a friendly, helpful, and professional way as they enter the storeWork in tandem with Merchandise associates to assist them with their workloadRequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAbility and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the businessAbility to solve problems, work independently or with a team, and check the accuracy of work before reporting its completionEducation/Training: High School degree or equivalentEffective communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-taskExperience in a retail environmentKnowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plusKnowledgeable of general retail policies and proceduresMinimum of 1-year retail sales experience preferredPossesses extensive product knowledge of consumable products along with a willingness to learnPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSA flexible work scheduleAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand for up to 10 hours per dayClimb stairs and ladders in a safe mannerAdditional InfoAbility to use available technology to perform job dutiesCustomer serviceExhibits professionalism in appearance and demeanorGeneral sales competenciesProduct knowledgeTakes initiative in problem-solving
