The Heavy Civil Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for large-scale civil construction projects, including concrete structures, bridges, piping systems, asphalt paving, grading, and environmental construction. This role requires a deep understanding of heavy civil operations in both public and private markets, with the ability to analyze plans, specifications, and project requirements to deliver precise bids and proposals.
Collaborate with preconstruction and project teams to fully understand project scope, schedule, and requirements.
Structural and flatwork concrete
Asphalt paving and grading
Environmental and site development projects
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure scope coverage.
Manage change order pricing and assist with project cost control during execution.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project coordination sessions with senior estimators, project managers, and field leadership.

Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction (bridges, concrete, piping, asphalt, grading, environmental).
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
