Printer Operator - Weekend Shift

Position Overview The Printer Operator works closely with the Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure the printing a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Duties And Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the Front-end Operators responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following: Responsibility of maintaining activities of the printer/decorator beverage cans with a focus on optimizing Safety, Quality, Productivity and Spoilage.
Ability to operate, safe operation, and the maintaining of decorator equipment.
Communicates all pertinent information between the supervisor, quality control, departments, and between shifts on changes to equipment, production problems or any other related information.
Assists and trains and/or coaching of all new operators as needed or required.
Inspects product to ensure compliance to quality standards.
Responsible in maintaining quality and modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal efficiencies.
Job Requirements Minimum Requirements High School Education/GED 2-3 year(s) in setup/operating/adjusting printing decorators in a manufacturing environment. Able to operate, read, understand, measuring x rite color density guage, and computers. Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.
Preferred Requirements 10 Hour OSHA Certification Operation of a Rutherford Printer Beverage Packaging industry experience Ink toning knowledge.
Computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be exposed to moving mechanical parts/product ink /additives, cleaning chemicals. Benefits Crown offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits including free company paid health insurance for employees as well as company matched 401(k).
