Stantec's Rochester office is seeking a Structural Engineer to support engineering teams on large infrastructure design projects and pursuits in the New York City Metropolitan area. The engineer will work under direct supervision of a Design Manager or Senior Structural Engineer to assist on design and management of infrastructure projects and public spaces. Assist the Design Manager with coordinating multi-disciplinary teams from design development through construction services on projects using Design/Build and Design/Bid/Build methods.
Develop project design deliverables including design criteria, contract design documents, design specifications, quantities and related calculations for various design projects under Design/Build and Design/Bid/Build environments.
Perform calculations independently using relevant bridge analysis and design software.
Help resolve complex technical problems and exercise independent decision making.
Proficiency in software such as STAAD, SAP, RISA, PCA Structure Point Suite, and similar.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, OpenBuildings and/Autodesk Construction Cloud, and MicroStation.
Proficient knowledge of structural design codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
Bachelor's degree

At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
