Job Summary:

A registered nurse specializing in step down care is sought for a stroke unit in Evansville, Indiana. The position involves night shifts on a dedicated stroke unit, providing high-acuity patient care in a hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

Location: Evansville, Indiana

Unit type: Stroke Unit

Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; experience in step down units or related fields preferred; no specific years of experience or certifications specified

Additional Information: The facility is a 30-bed stroke unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Responsibilities include managing patients with medical, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), cardiac, gastrointestinal (GI), renal conditions, sepsis, trauma, and surgical cases. Please read facility fixed notes for more details.

Float: Float rotation may be required.
