Everest Evolution, the Wholesale-Exclusive arm of Everest, serving the dynamic and rapidly growing U.Everest Evolution offers Property and Casualty insurance products across multiple business units, with wholesale exclusivity for various products.

About the Role: We are seeking a market-facing Senior or AVP Underwriter on our Wholesale Excess Casualty team supporting the West Coast, focused on building and growing a profitable book while developing strong broker relationships within the E&S space.

You'll help develop a profitable book of middle to large market-sized E&S Excess Casualty business for General Liability and Commercial Automobile lines within your designated underwriting territory.

You'll assist in implementing a growth plan for your region and help build brand awareness for Everest.

You'll underwrite select new and renewal accounts according to department standards.

You'll cultivate productive relationships with appointed wholesale brokers.

You'll develop and manage pricing and risk selection standards that align with strategic goals and financial targets.

You'll collaborate effectively with Actuarial, Claims, Loss Control, Operations, Finance, and IT teams.

You'll stay informed about competitor strategies and the broader insurance marketplace.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or a related field (insurance designations are a plus).

• 5+ years of relevant wholesale casualty underwriting experience, with the ability to support leadership in building a profitable portfolio.
• Expertise in General Liability and Commercial Automobile segments.
• Excellent relationship-building and coaching abilities.
• A keen ability to assess risk-inherent exposures and natural hazards.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Strong analytical skills to evaluate risk and portfolio data.
