Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Position Overview
An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced setting. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing high-quality care within the operating room environment, ensuring patient safety and management during surgical procedures.
Shift Information
Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
On-call requirements: Yes, including late calls and every 3rd to 4th weekend
Facility Details
Total Staffed Beds: 276
Operating Rooms: 12
Trauma Level: Level 3
Charting System: Epic
Parking: No cost for staff parking
Essential Responsibilities
Deliver patient-centered care in the operating room for a diverse range of surgical specialties including general, neurosurgery, orthopedics, ENT, and GYN.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain a safe and sterile environment in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
Provide preoperative and postoperative patient education.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care operating room setting, with a well-rounded skill set across various surgical specialties.
Current RN license in South Carolina or valid multi-state/compact RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Radiation badge required, to be provided by the agency.
General Information
This position requires flexibility and the ability to respond to the needs of the operating room. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission for consideration.
Travelers should note that during hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams.
