Registrar - Part-Time Temporary Position
Williamson County, TX
Reporting directly to a Sheriff's Office Sergeant, responsible for maintaining, registering, and updating records for sex offenders residing in Williamson County.
Collects fingerprints, photos, and other information necessary for registration and creates reports for federal, state, and local use
Serves as county liaison for law enforcement, agencies, parole, and probation offices and community regarding sex offender registrants
Collaborates and assist the Public Information Officer with release of information to the media and community
Reviews jail documents and court dockets to identify offender cases for follow up
Performs data entry to maintain up to date records
Coordinates and maintains a database of Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) reports, including Child Protective Services (CPS) and Adult Protective Services (APS) reports
Environmental Factors
May be required to perform work outdoors in inclement weather (heat, cold, wet, conditions)
Some travel between work sites as required
Work outside of the normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. High school diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Associate degree in criminal justice or related field
Two (2) years of experience working as a sex offender registrar
