Travel Nurse- Night Shift

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a 13-week Operating Room assignment requiring 2 years of experience, with first-time travelers welcome to apply.

Requirements Active RN license (Oregon RN license pending is acceptable at time of submission)

Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required

Epic charting experience required

Robust OR RN experience at a Level I or II trauma hospital preferred

Prior charge nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities Operating Room department within a hospital setting

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Weekday scheduled shifts of 10 hours and weekday night call shifts of 8 hours (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Weekend scheduled and call shifts of 10-12 hours

Up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule

Epic charting system required

Floating required within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital located approximately 15 minutes away

Support a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, oral, neurology, trauma, podiatry, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and thoracic procedures

Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako Surgical System preferred

Perform key OR responsibilities including blood product administration, infection control, specimen handling, and Universal Protocol time-out procedures

Adherence to emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia management

Former permanent employees of the health system are ineligible to apply for six months following termination of employment

Candidates may only be submitted to one position within this health system
