Respiratory Therapist

Location: Washington State

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shifts: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level IV NICU experience to provide superior respiratory care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with both adult and neonatal patients, assisting in high-risk deliveries and providing support in critical scenarios.

Responsibilities:

Perform respiratory assessments and implement treatment plans for patients in the NICU, ICU, and adult floors.

Provide mechanical ventilation support, including troubleshooting, settings adjustments, and weaning protocols.

Administer aerosolized medications and participate in emergency response situations.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and support.

Maintain accurate patient records and document care activities using EPIC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience, specifically in a NICU setting.

Current RRT certification and Washington State Respiratory Therapist license required.

BLS certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, and PALS preferred.

Experience with high-frequency oscillation, NAVA, or jet ventilation is highly preferred.

Proficient in charting within the EPIC system.
