Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00), Weekends required.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment, with a strong emphasis on patient care during labor and delivery processes.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients throughout the labor and delivery process.
Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs, taking interventions as necessary.
Assist in high-risk deliveries and support vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, including analgesics and IV fluids.
Conduct assessments and maintain accurate medical records using the Epic charting system.
Educate and support patients and families through the childbirth experience.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and ACLS required.
Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
Must be willing to float between like units as needed.
