Department: Telemetry Nursing Unit

Shift Timings: 18:30-07:00 Hours 3 days 12 hour shift (Monday- Friday)
Per Week: 36 Hours

~ Unit Capacity: 34 Beds Population Served: Cardiac Telemetry Unit. Frequent surgical diagnoses for patients on 4 Kidd include, but are not limited to: thoracotomy, lobectomies, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, mediastinoscopy, vascular surgery, and exploratory laparotomy. Frequent medical diagnoses include, but are not limited to: coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction (MI), post coronary intervention, congestive heart failure (CHF), pneumothorax, pleural effusion, chronic obstructive

Responsibilities
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
