Role Description The Universal Banker is a part-time, on-site role located in Springfield, MO. This role is responsible for assisting customers with daily banking needs, including opening and servicing deposit accounts, processing transactions, and handling cash accurately and securely. The Universal Banker will support loan-related activities, such as providing information on loan products, assisting with applications, and directing customers to lending specialists when needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing professional, friendly customer service, resolving inquiries, and promoting appropriate bank products and services based on customer needs. The role also involves following bank policies, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to a positive team environment.

Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and meeting customer needs.

Ability to handle deposits and other account transactions accurately and efficiently.

Proficient cash handling skills, including balancing a cash drawer and following security procedures.

Basic knowledge of consumer banking products, with the ability to explain options clearly.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact respectfully with diverse customers and team members.

Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow established policies and regulatory guidelines.

Previous experience in banking, retail, or customer-facing roles is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or training in finance or business is a plus.
