Our Finance Directors produce additional revenue for the dealership by selling finance and insurance programs and other appropriate after-sale items to new- and used-vehicle customers. We need someone who can sell well and sell ethically—a master of finance and insurance knowledge. A true professional who can communicate product features and benefits in a way that not only gets customers to understand, but gets them to buy.Job ResponsibilitiesContract new business, sell and close dealsGenerate finance income on all sold customersCompletes paperwork necessary for vehicle sales and leases in a timely and efficient mannerCheck/verify paperwork involved with cash, finance or loan transactionsContract or collect all money at closingSeek bank approval on financed and leased dealsPromote Credit Life/Accident & Health salesAssist in acquiring approval from lendersUnderstand all programs and rate options offered by our lendersSolicit extended warranty sales (aftermarket)Handle all cancellations for extended warranties and credit lifeSupervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises up to 5 employees in the Finance and Insurance DepartmentCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable lawsResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Education and/or ExperienceAssociate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
