We are looking for an enthusiastic Phlebotomist to help us reach our goals. Under the supervision of the Section Manager and/or LST Coordinator performs phlebotomy procedures and transports laboratory specimens
Draws blood from patients for analysis or other medical purposes
Assembles equipment, such as tourniquet, needles, disposable containers for needles, blood collection tubes, gauze, cotton, and alcohol on work tray according to requirements for specified tests
Assists with clerical duties including data entry and report distribution
Must be able to follow prescribed procedures for patient safety and satisfaction including following guidelines set by Research Medical Center and Joint Commission
This position is Full Time Nights 5 nights per week. 8 hour shifts. High School Graduate / GED required
Phlebotomy certification by ASCP and/or NCA required
At Least 2 years Phlebotomy experience highly desired
Phlebotomy experience in a large hospital laboratory highly desired
Must be able to maintain 32 collections in 8 hours
