General Maintenance and Repair Tech (Full Time)

Founded in 1950, Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities (RGA) empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach, grow, and achieve. Through innovative, person-centered supports, RGA serves children and adults across DuPage County, helping individuals live meaningful and independent lives.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician II performs skilled maintenance and repair work across multiple RGA locations. The technician will complete a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general facility upkeep. This position also supports agency operations through event setup, property transport, emergency response, and renovation projects.

This role requires travel to multiple sites, use of personal tools and vehicle, and participation in an on-call rotation.

Maintenance & Operations

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems

Assist with renovations, painting, concrete work, wall repair, and internal moves

Maintain inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies

Perform regular inspections to identify safety and security issues

Test and recommend maintenance products and solutions

Conduct preventive maintenance walkthroughs at assigned sites

Respond to emergency maintenance calls and coordinate repairs

Work collaboratively with Facilities Management team on projects

Support agency-wide maintenance initiatives

Respond to maintenance requests from staff and people supported

Ensure facilities remain accessible, safe, and supportive of diverse needs

Community & Vendor Partnership

Partner with internal programs to meet facility needs

High School Diploma or GED required

5–7 years of related maintenance experience preferred

HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry

Comfortable using tools and maintenance equipment

Ability to travel between sites throughout DuPage County

Ability to participate in on-call rotation and work overtime as needed

Travel required across multiple RGA locations

Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments

Use of personal vehicle and tools required
