Job Title: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Dupilumab Asthma

About the Job

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will provide non‑promotional scientific, educational, and research support for the Dupilumab – Asthma product in the Florida/PR territory. The MSL is a field‑based member of the Medical Affairs team, highly trained in health care and well‑versed in clinical/ basic science, delivering cutting‑edge data and technical/practical education to Health Care Professionals (HCP). The MSL will develop and maintain relationships with key Respiratory experts, build an advocacy base for Sanofi Genzyme’s Immunology franchise, and act as a conduit for providing accurate, updated clinical, scientific, and medical information to Respiratory Experts, HCPs, treatment decision makers, and other members of the scientific, provider, and payer community (private insurance, payers, medical groups, government agencies, and health systems with drug formularies).

Main Responsibilities

Maintain business and clinical knowledge of the asthma treatment landscape, including current treatment strategies, competitors, and new therapeutic developments.

Increase Sanofi Genzyme’s visibility among leaders in Respiratory, identifying, establishing, and maintaining collaborative relationships with key Respiratory experts, investigators, and institutions strategic to product development.

Participate in medical education for HCPs through presentations at office visits, investigator meetings, advisory boards, medical meetings, and other appropriate venues to enhance product and disease‑state knowledge.

Collaborate with the clinical team and CRAs to coordinate and optimize educational and research support for sites/investigators participating in Sanofi Genzyme’s clinical trials.

Respond to unsolicited requests regarding investigator‑sponsored studies (ISS) and support ISS submissions through internal processes.

Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information associated with supported products and disease‑state areas.

Provide effective clinical presentations to internal and external audiences and tailor presentations to meet specific needs of the audience.

Identify and communicate key clinical and research issues and insights from industry leaders to appropriate departments to help shape company research, development, and strategies for investigational and commercialized products.

Facilitate the identification of medical community educational needs around Asthma disease‑state management, including awareness and understanding of appropriate/inappropriate use of company products.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in support of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

Maintain clinical expertise through comprehensive education, including attendance at relevant symposiums, scientific workshops, and review of key journals; participate in required internal training, presentations, and journal clubs.

Maintain appropriate communication with Medical, Regulatory, and Legal personnel to ensure appropriate timelines and procedures are met.

Adhere to regulatory and compliance guidelines and company policies in all aspects of scientific dissemination, including responses to unsolicited requests for medical information.

Enhance clinical/scientific knowledge of customers and colleagues through education and appropriate scientific exchange.

Work collaboratively with relevant internal stakeholders to identify local/regional educational gaps/needs and apply appropriate field medical support aligned with medical strategy.

Provide field updates regarding topics of interest.

Address administrative and reporting needs on a timely basis or as requested by management.

Travel 60% or greater, including domestic and international travel as needed; territory assigned is Florida/PR.

About You

Main Qualifications

MD, PharmD, PhD or other doctoral‑level degree preferred, and 2 years related pharma/biotech experience.

Advanced health‑care degrees and relevant Respiratory clinical experience with at least 5 years in a respiratory clinical environment.

Clear understanding of regional medical practice and clinical decision making concerning patient care.

Must reside within the territory (Florida/PR).

Ability to identify unmet medical, educational, and research needs within the regional medical community.

Interpret key scientific data and translate this information to meet educational and research needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and experience in field medical asthma (Respiratory, Immunology) preferred.

Knowledge and experience in disease area preferred.

Preferred previous pharmaceutical industry experience.

Demonstrated ability to address educational and research needs through delivery of cutting‑edge scientific evidence‑based data.

Understanding of healthcare systems affecting patient care.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is: $146,250.00 – $211,250.00. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
