RN - Emergency Room - Day Shift

Work Schedule: 4 Days/Week | 10-Hour Shifts (06:45 AM – 05:15 PM)

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, high-quality patient care in a perioperative setting, covering pre-operative, intra-operative support (as needed), and post-anesthesia care (PACU). Working under the supervision of the ASC Practice Manager and Charge Nurse, the RN ensures patient safety, accurate documentation, and effective care coordination from admission through discharge.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care in pre-op and PACU settings
Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, ECGs, urine pregnancy, and glucometer testing
Verify patient identity, surgical consent, and readiness for procedures
Monitor and manage patient status, including airway management in PACU
Document all nursing activities accurately to support care continuity and compliance
Assist in safe patient transfer and transport
Educate patients and families regarding procedures and discharge instructions
Ensure compliance with clinical policies, infection control, and safety standards
Respond effectively in emergency situations and provide life-support interventions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain a safe and supportive care environment

Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or higher)
Active Washington State RN License
BLS Certification (AHA)
ACLS Certification (required within 3 months of hire)
Minimum 1+ year RN experience (perioperative, PACU, ER, or ICU preferred)
Knowledge of AORN perioperative standards of practice
