Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support our accounting operations in Ocala, FL. This role is ideal for a mid-level accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has strong experience with QuickBooks Online .
The Bookkeeper will work closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller to manage day-to-day accounting activities and assist with month-end close processes. This position requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage a large volume of transactions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily accounting tasks using QuickBooks Online
Post and reconcile credit card transactions
Record journal entries, including accrued expenses and cost of goods sold (COGS)
Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Process daily deposits and vendor bill entry
Track and record sales tax transactions
Support month-end close activities
Maintain accurate and timely financial records
Handle a high volume of transactions (100+ orders per day)
Ensure accuracy across multiple product line items
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (mid-level preferred)
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
Experience with journal entries, AP/AR, and high-volume transaction processing
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong technical aptitude and comfort with accounting systems
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred but not required)
Experience in manufacturing, construction, or product-based industries
