How To MANAGE a Small Law Firm (HTM) is a national leader in Fractional C-Suite services for solo and small law firms. We're looking for an experienced Chief Marketing Officer / Fractional CMO who can serve as a strategic marketing partner to a portfolio of law firm owners.

You'll help owners understand their marketing numbers, develop strategies that drive growth, build systems and accountability, and turn marketing from an expense into a measurable business investment.

You focus on doing what you do best — leading marketing and producing results.

As a Fractional CMO, you'll serve as the marketing executive and strategic advisor to multiple law firm owners.

Develop marketing strategies tied directly to business and revenue goals

Help owners identify the right marketing opportunities and priorities

Build marketing systems, processes, and accountability

Develop and refine brand strategy and positioning

Oversee digital and traditional marketing initiatives

Analyze marketing performance, KPIs, lead generation, conversion, and ROI

Identify what's working, what's not, and where marketing dollars should be invested

Coach and advise business owners who may not have a traditional marketing background

Mentor internal marketing team members and outside marketing partners

Help clients build marketing programs that are sustainable and scalable

We're looking for an experienced Chief Marketing Officer, Fractional CMO, or senior marketing executive who understands that great marketing isn't just about generating activity — it's about generating business results.

You may have built your experience as a CMO, Fractional CMO, agency leader, consultant, VP of Marketing, or another senior marketing leadership role.

10+ years of senior-level marketing leadership experience

• Experience as a Chief Marketing Officer, Fractional CMO, or equivalent senior marketing leader
• Experience advising, leading, or managing marketing for multiple businesses or clients
• Strong understanding of marketing strategy, lead generation, conversion, branding, analytics, and ROI
• A data-driven approach to making marketing decisions
• Strong business acumen and an understanding of how marketing connects to revenue
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience

Legal, agency, consulting, professional services, or small/mid-sized business experience is a plus — but not required. We'll teach you the legal side of the business.

Serving as a CMO or Fractional CMO

Managing multiple businesses or clients at the same time

Building marketing strategies from the ground up

Connecting marketing activity to revenue and profitability

Managing agencies, vendors, internal marketing teams, or outside partners

Using data and KPIs to make strategic decisions

Coaching non-marketing executives or business owners

If you've spent your career in a large corporate marketing department but haven't had much direct experience advising business owners, this may not be the right environment for you.

You'll have a portfolio of law firm owners to advise and the support of an established organization behind you.

You don't have to cold call, network endlessly, or constantly sell your next engagement.

Predictable income + performance upside

You'll receive a $110,000 base salary plus performance compensation , with $182,000+ on-target earnings .

You'll work directly with business owners and help them understand their numbers, make better decisions, improve their marketing, and grow their businesses.
