CPA - Full Time

Stafford Gaudet & Associates, LLC has provided accounting and advisory services to businesses and individuals across New England since 1983. The firm supports large, small, and emerging organizations, as well as entrepreneurs, across industries such as real estate, restaurants, apparel, legal services, manufacturing, high tech, transportation, medical, construction, retail, professional consulting, and non-profit. This full-time, on-site Certified Public Accountant role is based in Chelmsford, MA. The CPA will prepare and review financial statements, support month-end and year-end closes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Daily responsibilities include tax preparation and planning for individuals and businesses, analyzing financial data, and identifying opportunities for improved financial performance and risk management. The role also involves working directly with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide recommendations, as well as collaborating with colleagues on complex engagements and staying current on relevant tax and accounting regulations.

Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, including general ledger management and financial analysis.

Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements, including preparation, review, and interpretation in accordance with applicable standards.

Candidates should possess skills in Tax Preparation, including individual and business returns, and basic tax planning.

Candidates should possess Certified Public Accounting (CPA) credentials, with an active CPA license in good standing or a clear path to licensure.

Relevant skills and qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; proficiency with accounting and tax software; Ability to work on-site in Chelmsford, MA, manage multiple deadlines, collaborate with a team, and maintain high standards of ethics and client confidentiality.
