Head of Facility Management

We develop and manage Apple's global real estate portfolio, lead capital construction projects, deliver outstanding facilities and site services, and champion sustainability initiatives — including commute and renewable energy programs. Description We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and highly motivated facilities professional to join our team and oversee facilities maintenance for Apple retail stores across the AMR West region.

Responsibilities Store Operations & Service Delivery: Serve as the primary facilities partner for AMR West retail stores, conducting bi-monthly on-site reviews to identify and resolve facilities issues.

Vendor & Contractor Management: Lead vendors in delivering cost-effective maintenance and emergency response, evaluating performance through regular check-ins and financial reviews.

Project & Program Oversight: Guide contractors through store turnovers and provide actionable feedback to cross-functional partners to drive operational excellence.

Budget & Financial Management: Own OpEx and CapEx budgets, forecasting, and contract negotiations—including competitive bidding and Scopes of Work (SOWs).

Building & Systems Expertise: Maintain Apple's retail environments to the highest standards using your expertise in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and landscaping systems.

Partner with Development and Design teams to improve building functionality and inform material selection.

Minimum Qualifications 7+ years of experience in construction or facilities management, with a demonstrated focus on maintaining and delivering exceptional retail stores, workplaces, and/or critical environments.

Deep expertise in planning, scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, and executing technical services required to maintain and improve buildings — including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, fire alarm, janitorial, landscaping, flooring, lighting, furniture, warehousing, pest control, interior plants, and call‑center services.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience working across all levels of an organization and a proven ability to handle customer service challenges in a professional and constructive manner.

Demonstrated experience building and sustaining relationships with facility operations teams, utility companies, government agencies, architectural and design firms, and general contracting firms.

Must be centrally located near a major hub of assigned retail stores, with the ability to conduct on‑site visits a minimum of twice per month.

Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience is preferred.

Strong judgment in balancing operational risk and investment, consistently pursuing the highest quality and design at the best value.
