The custodian provides general janitorial services daily by maintaining common areas, restrooms, offices, and parking lots. Maintains grounds by cleaning high traffic areas, removing debris, sweeping, and emptying trash containers.
Performs general janitorial duties including vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash and recycling containers, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, cleaning windows and floors, and spot-cleaning other areas as needed.
Performs general outdoor custodial duties including sweeping parking lots, picking up litter, and emptying trash containers.
Inspects janitorial closet and restrooms daily for cleanliness and restocking of products.
Maintains department equipment and tools in good working order.
Performs other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or mission.

Education, training and/or credentialing appropriate for an entry-level custodial staff member.
Familiar with janitorial techniques and safe, proper use of janitorial products.
Understands and utilizes Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
High School Diploma preferred
Ability to safely operate custodial equipment.
