Registered Nurse, FLEX overnight

Position Summary As an RN on our Cardio Thoracic Unit, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model, you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization and will be able to deliver the excellent care your patients deserve. The Cardio Thoracic Unit provides step-down care and opportunities for PCC (Progressive Critical Care) certification.

Essential Responsibilities / Duties Deliver nursing care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.

Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families.

Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.

Update and manage patient records.

Enter and interpret computerized data/information.

Follow guidelines and policies established by SEMC’s nursing organization.

Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.

Job Requirements Education Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).

Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification completed during orientation.

PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire (offered by the hospital).

Experience 1+ year RN experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.

Basic computer proficiency.

Fluency in another language a plus.

Compensation Range $39.02–$90.05 per hour. This range is an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. Base pay is determined by education, experience, licensure/certifications, and other factors related to position requirements.
