Description
American Traveler is hiring a Staff RN for a Surgical Med/Surg/PCU night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.
Details

• Full-time, 13-week contract assignment on a Surgical Med/Surg/PCU unit
• Adult med-surg patient population
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license required
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills required
Ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent clinical decisions
Additional Information
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care using the nursing process
Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately
Notify physicians of pertinent patient status changes and implement physician orders
Supervise and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants
Maintain thorough, accurate, and legible nursing documentation
Role requires frequent patient handling and the ability to exert heavy physical force
Work in a collaborative team environment supporting patient-centered care
