Travel CNA Job Details
Position: Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Emergency Department Sitter

Healthcare Setting: 31-bed emergency department

Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract

Weekly Estimated Pay: $590–$640

Three 12-hour night shifts per week

Shift Hours: 6:45 p.m. – Weekend Coverage: Emergency Department CNA Job Requirements
At least 6 months of CNA or related patient-care experience; emergency department, acute care, or behavioral health experience is preferred

Experience with electronic health records; Epic experience is required

Ability to care for patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations

Ability to remain calm, attentive, and professional in a fast-paced emergency department environment

Ability to meet the physical demands of patient observation, ambulation assistance, lifting, pulling, and repositioning using proper body mechanics

Travel CNA Responsibilities
Serve as an emergency department safety attendant and provide one-to-one patient observation for individuals who may present safety risks, including those experiencing suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, or hallucinations

Obtain and document temperature, pulse oximetry, and other vital signs according to department protocols

Assist with patient rooming and support efficient patient flow through the emergency department

Follow isolation precautions, personal protective equipment requirements, NPO instructions, oxygen safety practices, and fluid restrictions

Clean and restock equipment while maintaining an orderly, safe patient-care environment

Support care for patients with conditions ranging from minor illnesses to trauma, cardiac emergencies, and behavioral health concerns
