Greenfield Apartments is seeking a professional Full-time Maintenance Tech 1 to join their team in Hopkins, MN . The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure property operations, resident safety, and overall community satisfaction. This role supports daily maintenance operations, assists with apartment turns, and works under general supervision while following established procedures and safety standards.
Typically, FT40, Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm . Property office hours may vary from property to property. You may be asked to flex your schedule to meet the demands of the business.

Maintenance & Repair Operations

Perform general property maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, lighting, locks, and general building systems
Respond to maintenance requests from residents and property management staff
Assist with apartment turns to ensure move-in readiness and quality standards
Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with established schedules and guidelines
Conduct exterior maintenance, including roofs, parking areas, garages, pools, and recreational areas (as applicable)
Support grounds maintenance activities, including snow removal and trash pickup
Follow all company, local, state, and federal safety policies and procedures
Coordinate inspections with fire, police, utility, or regulatory inspectors as needed
Administrative & Support Duties

Complete required documentation and logs, including preventive maintenance and safety records
Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
Monitor and assist with maintenance supply inventory as directed
Attend staff meetings and required training sessions
Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information
Provide a high level of customer service to residents and coworkers
Remain flexible and adaptable to changing operational needs
Perform other maintenance duties and special projects as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent required

• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred
• Working knowledge of general building systems
• Solid maintenance troubleshooting
