Job Details Position: Travel CVOR Registered Nurse (Cardiovascular Operating Room RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Location: Cypress, TX 77429 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour day shift Hours per Week: 40 Guaranteed Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,370 - $2,500 Call Requirements: Monday-Friday call after the shift until 7:00 AM the next morning; weekend call is 24 hours; typically 1 day of call per week and 1 weekend per month Setting: Cardiovascular operating room with a high-acuity, team-oriented surgical environment Job Requirements Active RN license BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required At least 1 year of CVOR or cardiovascular operating room experience required Cardiovascular surgery experience required; comfort with vascular and robotic cases preferred Ability to work 8- or 10-hour shifts Must be willing to take call CNOR certification is a plus Experience with moderate sedation and endovascular cases preferred Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-first attitude Responsibilities Provide circulating and perioperative support for complex cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases Assist with procedures such as CABG with or without valves, pericardial window, AAA, ECMO, maze, Impella placement, endarterectomy, VATS, robotic esophagectomy, and thrombectomy/embolectomy Support vascular, robotic, orthopedic, ENT, gynecology, podiatry, urology, plastic, pain, and eye cases as needed within the surgery department Maintain safe, efficient workflow in a high-acuity OR environment Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, CSTs, and the perioperative team to deliver excellent patient care Adapt to varying case volume while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail Contribute to a positive, hard-working, and dependable unit culture Apply now for this rewarding CVOR RN travel nursing opportunity in Cypress, TX, and join a skilled healthcare team in the Houston area today.
