Full-Time Evening Shift Registered Nurse (RN)

Join the University of Maryland Capital Region Health Operating Room team as a Full-Time Evening Shift Registered Nurse (RN). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operating Room RN to bring your clinical expertise to a high-performing surgical team committed to safe, exceptional patient care.

In this role, you will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality surgical outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. This position is ideal for an experienced Operating Room RN who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and is confident providing perioperative care across a diverse range of surgical specialties.

SCHEDULE: 4 x 10-Hour Shifts | 12:45 p.m. - Rotating Weekends & Holidays

Deliver independent, high-quality perioperative care across a broad range of surgical cases; Function as the primary circulating RN; maintain full accountability for patient safety, clinical outcomes, and continuity of care throughout the surgical episode.

Coordinate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary team; serve as a clinical resource and escalation point for complex or high-acuity situations.

Champion Patient and Family Centered Care; Contribute directly to quality outcomes through NSQI participation, effective handoff practices, and strict medication safety standards.

Lead and support performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and unit-level initiatives that enhance surgical outcomes and workflow efficiency.

Maintain full regulatory compliance; Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland or Compact eligibility in accordance with MBON required.

Minimum of 23 years of Operating Room RN experience, required.

Proven ability to independently circulate surgical cases in a fast-paced OR environment, required.

Pay Range: $43.30 - $54.90 per hour.
