RN / Oncology Nursing

Job Overview
The primary responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include assisting in communications with patients, triaging patient issues, symptom management, and teaching patients about their disease process and treatment.

Responsible for evaluating, planning, and delivering nursing care to meet individualized patient needs.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient communication and education.

Triage patient issues and manage symptoms.

Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs.

Identify the plan of care, implement it, and evaluate the outcomes.

Provide direct and indirect care during radiation therapy.

Coordinate care with other team members.

Address system issues to facilitate high‑quality care.

Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

ASN or Nursing Diploma required; must agree to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire date.

Preferred

Radiation Oncology experience.

OCN certification.

BSN.

Certifications and Licenses Required

AHA BLS and ACLS.

Current New Jersey RN license.

Scheduling Requirements

Per Diem Days.
