Licensed Practical Nurse - Respiratory Therapy - Full-Time

Respiratory Care LPN Position
The Respiratory Care Department at AHN Saint Vincent specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with breathing disorders and cardiovascular issues. LPNs will work with the respiratory therapists and physicians to provide treatments like aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and airway expansion and clearance. The department is crucial in emergency situations, and for patients with chronic respiratory diseases, improving their quality of life.
This job is a member of the direct care healthcare team and is responsible for providing care to patients and families under the direction of the registered nurse.
Performs general nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
Assists with the preparation of equipment and assists the clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
Collects assessment data, prepares patient for examination and documents clinical information on patient record and reports any changes in patients condition to the registered nurse, advanced practice nurse or physician.
Orders diagnostic tests as directed by the clinical provider and gathers diagnostic tests and/or examines results prior to physician/clinical provider assessment.
Schedules procedures and obtains authorizations, as necessary, under the direction/oversight of the registered nurse. Assists nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks such as administering medications, blood and tissue collection and/or other laboratory specimens; prepare patients for testing.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
1 year in healthcare

Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
