RN – Progressive Care Unit (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)
Contract | Night Shift | Onsite
Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients with complex problems.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, and synthesize findings to develop and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients and families.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care outcomes, communicate relevant information, and promote continuity of care.
Perform bedside point-of-care testing and apply healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of patient care.
Identify and address discharge planning needs, consult appropriate resources for complex care issues, and develop relationships with families to support patient advocacy.
Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives while promoting a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of North Carolina.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC).
Charge nurse and precepting experience required.
Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience in a progressive care, intermediate care, or stepdown unit setting.
