Houston, TexasPosition SummaryAs an Electrical Engineer at DLR Group you will be responsible for participating in the design process of electrical building systems from schematics through construction administration, preparing detailed electrical engineering drawings and performing design calculations. The successful candidate willAssist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policiesDevelop electrical designs from concept through completion of constructionPrepare engineering design calculations and layoutsPrepare detailed engineering reports and narrativesCoordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplinesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree (ABET accredited) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering5-10 years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial architecture including K-12, Workplace, Higher Education, Justice+Civic, and SportsPassed Fundamentals of Engineering ExamPreferred QualificationsPrevious internship, co-op experience, or full time position with a consulting engineering or A/E firmLicensed Electrical Engineer (Registered in Texas)Experience with BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) workflowExperience and interest in sustainable building designLighting and/or low voltage design experienceDLR Group is an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new builds, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects.At the core of our firm are interdisciplinary teams engaged in every step of project lifecycles.
