BCBA needed for a Full Time Position

Position Overview
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (Developmental Specialist 2) for Connecticut Valley Hospital Behavioral Intervention Service. Full‑time, 1st shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm. Facility: Connecticut Valley Hospital, Middletown, CT. PCN: 128480.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, monitor, and revise individualized Behavioral Support Plans based on evidence‑based assessment and interventions.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure consistent, person‑centered care.

Assist in the collection and analysis of behavioral data to support treatment decisions.

Train staff in the implementation of behavioral plans and data collection.

Write reports including individual profiles, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Contribute to the agency’s mission by enhancing patient safety, autonomy, and overall clinical outcomes.

Participate in clinical and interdisciplinary conferences and staff meetings.

Qualifications - Minimum

Master’s degree in psychology, educational psychology, rehabilitative psychology, community psychology, experimental psychology, or a related field accredited by a regional educational board.

Three (3) years of experience in psychological testing, assessment, and evaluation, including one (1) year treating or working with clients in the specialty serviced by the agency.

Qualifications - Substitutions Allowed

Doctorate degree in community psychology, educational psychology, experimental psychology, psychology, rehabilitative psychology, or a related field accredited by a regional educational board, and two (2) years of experience in treating or working with clients in the specialty serviced by the agency.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Experience in inpatient behavioral health environments.

Experience providing services to individuals with severe mental illness.

Special Requirements

May be required to possess and retain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.

May be required to travel.

Working Conditions
May be required to lift and restrain clients; exposure to communicable/infectious diseases and risk of injury from clients.
