Precision, High-Tech 5-Axis CNC Machinist (Night Shift) Company Background Metalex Manufacturing is an ISO 9001 / AS9100 certified high-tech machine shop that is known throughout our customer base as a value-added supplier. Position Overview Metalex’s expansion of our precision, high-tech, turning and milling area of expertise is creating opportunities for exceptional machinists who want to continue to hone their skills by working on the latest state‑of‑the‑art equipment machining challenging complex parts made of exotic, high‑temp alloys. Night Shift includes a 10% Pay Differential
Capable of performing machine set ups
Proficient in handling measuring instruments and test equipment
Understand quality requirements and be able to perform “in-process” inspections of your own work in addition to working with the Quality Team to ensure delivery of high quality parts
Understanding of basic shop floor mathematics
Understanding of CNC programming
Basic computer skills
Strong work ethic / willingness to work overtime
Willingness to assist in cross‑training of other teammates by teaching skills they can learn from you
Willingness to be cross‑trained on complementary machines as needed to support production requirements and increase your marketability
Must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements
