Travel RRT - ICU - Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory Therapist needed for a travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. This 13-week contract begins on 06/22/2026 and features a 3x12 night shift in a Short Term Acute Care setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,545 to $1,571 per week. The position involves rotating schedule days with occasional call for neonatal transports and requires experience in critical care and NICU settings.

Weekly pay: $1,545–$1,571 per week

• Contract duration: Shift: Night shift, 3x12
• Facility/work setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital
• Rotation with no set days; Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy to neonatal and adult patients per physician orders
• Manage ventilation support and airway care, including neonatal intubation for NICU patients
• Monitor patient status, adjust ventilator settings, interpret arterial blood gases, and respond to alarms
• Perform airway clearance therapies, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, and aerosolized treatments
• Document care, ensure accuracy in the medical record, and communicate with the multidisciplinary team
• Participate in occasional neonatal transports and support during critical care events

Licensure: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license is required

• Experience: 5 years of critical care experience with 2–3 years in NICU, including neonatal intubation
• Evidence of appropriate respiratory care education and credentialing
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, rotating night shift environment with occasional on-call duties

• Ongoing assignment support throughout the contract
• Access to resources for housing and travel logistics as applicable
