A reputable behavioral health facility in Big Spring, Texas is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 26‑week contract . This long‑term assignment offers stability, structured mentorship, and the chance to build meaningful experience in a specialized setting.

Position Details
Location: Big Spring, TX
Contract Length: 26 weeks (6‑month commitment)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Alternating shifts based on staffing needs
Weekends: Every other weekend off
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1,686

Facility Preferences

• 1 year of behavioral health experience required
• Ideal for LPNs comfortable working with diverse patient populations in a structured behavioral health environment

Training & Support

• 2–3 weeks of on‑unit mentorship with a seasoned LVN to ensure a smooth transition
• Supportive leadership and collaborative team culture

Responsibilities
Provide safe, compassionate patient care in a behavioral health setting
Administer medications and treatments per facility protocols
Monitor patient conditions and document accurately
Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain a calm, professional presence in a dynamic environment

Requirements
Active LPN license in good standing
Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience
Behavioral health experience required
Current BLS certification
Strong communication, assessment, and de‑escalation skills
