The LPN position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, environment helping individuals overcome substance abuse addiction.Key Responsibilities:Take vitalsAdminister medication to clients as directedCharting for insurance purposesMaintain a positive, professional attitude toward residents, staff and volunteersHandle crisis situations in a calm supportive mannerComplete drug screeningCreate a safe and healthy environment for clientsComply with random employee drug screeningEnsure Universal Precautions of the centerSchedule all appointments with physicians and mental health providersLog medications and maintain an accurate medication logbookOn-call for residential centerCoordinate refills and new prescriptions with the staff physicianInventory medications weekly (medication count)Maintain confidentiality and comply with company, state, federal and HIPAA rules and regulationsParticipate in staff and state regulatory training as requiredAvailability to work some evening, overnight and/or weekend shiftsAdhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethicsThe Registered LPN with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/Odyssey, Inc.'s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider.The above is intended to be a general outline of job duties and not a complete list.Key Experience and Education Needed:High School Diploma or GEDLPN coursework completionValid LPN LicenseSubstance abuse experience preferred.Other Qualifications to be Considered:Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service systemKnowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose.Knowledge of the stages of alcohol and other drug withdrawals and ability to take appropriate action at each stageKnowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence and positive cultural identityKnowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addictionKnowledge of alcohol and other drugs that includes: Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual impact on the individual and their family.Ability to meet deadlines and stay on scheduleAbility to enforce program requirementsAbility to determine if a medical emergency exists and take appropriate action, when necessary.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive mannerAbility to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients servedAbility to sit and/or stand for long periods of timeAbility to read detailed health recordsAbility to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.Ability to operate computer and other equipment in the officeARC full-time employees enjoy very attractive benefits packages for employees and their families to include health, dental, vision, life insurance, a wide array of ancillary insurance products for life's needs, 401(k) plan with company matching and to ensure the work-life balance - generous paid vacation, sick, holiday and maternity/paternity leave policies.Come join ARC and transform lives anchored in strong family relationships, social responsibility and meaningful career paths by empowering our nationally recognized crisis to career model!Addiction Recovery Care, LLC and its affiliated entities are an equal opportunity employer.ADA Disclaimer: In developing this job description care was taken to include all competencies needed to successfully perform in this position.
