Job Title Travel RN - Medical Surgical Location Overland Park, KS | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM | 12-Week Assignment | Expected start November 2026 Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio Perform and manage PIV insertion/removal, central line management, Foley catheter care, nasogastric tube insertion/management, drain management, and continuous bladder irrigation Provide wound care, ostomy management, and chest tube management Perform and interpret EKGs and monitor patients for basic dysrhythmias Operate unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, feeding pumps, Hoyer/Sara Steady lifts, and vein finder devices Document accurately using Meditech EMR and adhere to facility dress code (royal blue scrubs; black pants permitted) Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Kansas or a compact state Minimum 1 year of prior inpatient acute care experience Demonstrated competency with basic dysrhythmia recognition BLS certification required NIHSS certification required Ability to work 4 weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) per 4-week period Preferred Experience / Skills Previous experience working in a trauma center setting Familiarity with Meditech EMR Experience with Alaris IV pumps and virtual admission RN workflows Why Join Us Join a well-established acute care facility serving a large regional community, with a collaborative unit team and structured staffing model Gain experience in a dynamic Med-Surg environment utilizing a broad range of clinical skills and modern equipment Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 792644.
