Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ob Hospitalist: Full-time & Part-time

Sequoia Hospital is launching a new OB-GYN Hospitalist program and is seeking four OB-GYN Hospitalists and one Medical Director to help build and shape this service line from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to define workflows, culture, and clinical excellence in a premier Bay Area location. The role offers predictable 24-hour in-house scheduling, supporting work-life balance.

Practice Info

• New program development for OB-GYN Hospitalist service line
• Hospital deliveries: ~1,200 births annually
• 24-hour in-house anesthesia
• Level II NICU with Medical Director support from Stanford
• Maternal-Fetal Medicine support from Stanford
• Collaborative care alongside community OB/GYNs and nursing teams

Responsibilities

• Define workflows, culture, and clinical excellence for the new program
• Manage OB and GYN triage/surgery
• Perform Labor & delivery management
• Handle Obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Conduct Inpatient consults
• Provide clinical leadership (Medical Director)
• Guide program development (Medical Director)
• Drive quality initiatives (Medical Director)

Compensation

• Competitive compensation package

• Annual compensation is $312,000 - $438,000
• Medical Director stipend is $25,000

Shift & Schedule

• 24-hour, in-house shifts
• Full-time, part-time or per diem shifts
• Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis

Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• 5 years of clinical experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to thrive in a team-based model
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
• Prior leadership experience preferred (Medical Director)
