Phlebotomist I- 2nd Shift

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for a 7-on/7-off shift position in Birmingham, Alabama. The role involves collecting blood specimens, performing data entry, processing billing, and providing customer service in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups

Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and other analyses

Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information

Process billing information and collect payments when required

Prepare collected specimens for testing and maintain specimen logs

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
6 months or more phlebotomy experience
Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Reliable transportation with clean driving record if applicable
