Contract Duration: 3+ months contract with possible extension
Schedule: Monday-Friday, weekdays
Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients and is responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing. The role requires providing a professional, trustworthy, and positive patient experience while performing specimen collection accurately, safely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
Perform venipuncture and blood collection safely and accurately.
Interact directly with patients and explain collection procedures clearly.
Maintain a safe, professional, and positive environment.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Protect patient confidentiality and ensure accuracy of patient information.
Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Candidate must be flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call assignments, and overtime when required.
Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent - Required.
• Minimum 6 months of work experience - Required.
• Phlebotomy certification - Preferred; required in California.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients .
• Ability to perform quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to confidentiality and accuracy.
• Keyboard and data-entry experience required .
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is preferred.
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training is preferred.
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
