Job Description Description: The Caregiver will provide care to residents and perform basic ADL's activities under the direction of an LVN.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual service plan.
Maintain a clean and safe resident environment.
Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
Perform post-mortem care as needed.
Perform routine care rounds on each assigned resident, at minimum, every two hours (or more frequently if indicated).
Follows proper procedures and respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance.
Knows the location of each resident and notifies the supervisor immediately if unable to locate a resident.
Follows proper procedure for clocking in and out for shifts.
Follows guidelines for uniforms and wear daily.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Required Skills & Abilities:

Experience in the field a must. We have no desire to work with amateurs.
Excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
Able to communicate in English, talk and hear effectively to convey instructions and information to residents and team members.
Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and 1-2 years’ experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Desire experience in a similar setting.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand often, walk 75% of the day; sit; use hands to feel, handle, or manipulate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear, pushing, pulling or grasping. The employee must occasionally lift persons or move supplies, up to 50 pounds.
Subject to minor exposure to common dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be provided protection (PPE) and exposed to infectious waste, common illnesses, and other conditions.
