PCT/Phlebotomist Emergency Department

Is knowledgeable of all procedures being performed in the cath lab but not limited to the equipment needed for each stated procedure.

Is able to care for pre-and-post Cath Lab patients

Is competent in each of the previous roles mentioned and the competencies are evaluated annually and documented on competency skill checklists.

Initiates and sets-up equipment for each stated procedure. Maintains sterility of equipment during procedures. Is proficient for in veni-puncture skills for the administration of IV conscious sedation, volume and emergency medication during any given procedure.

Knowledgeable in the area of monitoring during induction of conscious sedation medication. Is a customer service representative and meets or exceeds all of tenets customer service skills.
