Job Title: Experienced Phlebotomist – Clinical Research

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Phlebotomist to join our growing clinical research team. The ideal candidate has exceptional venipuncture skills, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to providing outstanding patient care while supporting the successful execution of clinical trials.

Previous clinical research experience is highly preferred; however, experienced phlebotomists with strong laboratory and patient care backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures according to study protocols and laboratory requirements.

Process, label, centrifuge, package, and ship biological specimens while maintaining specimen integrity.

Accurately document specimen collection and research activities in source documents and electronic systems.

Ensure compliance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), IATA, HIPAA, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Prepare examination and laboratory areas for participant visits.

Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory.

Maintain a clean, organized, and regulatory-compliant work environment.

Collaborate with investigators, clinical research coordinators, laboratory personnel, and sponsors to ensure efficient study execution.

Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring participant comfort and safety throughout the visit.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of professional phlebotomy experience.

Demonstrated proficiency with routine and difficult venipuncture.

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.

Preferred

Previous experience working in a clinical research setting.

Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and ICH guidelines.

Experience processing and shipping laboratory specimens for clinical trials.
