Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Peri Anesthesia
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Peri Anesthesia to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is vital in providing high-quality perioperative care to patients.
Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing anesthesia procedures.
Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any complications during and after anesthesia administration.
Educate patients and their families regarding the anesthesia process and postoperative care.
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with healthcare protocols.
Qualifications
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of two years of nursing experience in an acute care setting, preferably in peri anesthesia care.
Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Schedule
This position requires variable shifts between 5:00 AM and 8:00 PM, with weekly guaranteed hours of 36. Weekend shifts are required approximately every 5 to 6 weeks. On-call responsibilities are also part of this role.
